2. What are the legal bases for the processing?

We process your personal data in accordance with the applicable regulations (Articles 6 and 9 of the GDPR).

In general, we undertake to collect only the personal data that is strictly necessary with regard to the purposes described below (see What are the purposes of the processing? ).

7. Who has access to your personal data?

The following recipients may process the data according to their respective needs:

• Staff of SIPA Ouest-France Group companies

Your data is communicated to employees of the internal departments of the companies of the SIPA Ouest-France Group and its advertising agencies (local, extra-local, legal notices, funerals, etc.). In accordance with the regulations, access to your data is based on individual, limited and supervised access authorizations.

We may share your personal data with other entities of the SIPA – Ouest-France group subject to your prior consent.

8. Transfer of data outside the European Union

We store your personal data in the European Union. However, we are sometimes required to transfer your personal data to our subcontractors or partners located outside the European Union. In this case, we ensure that the processing of personal data is carried out in a country considered to be a country with adequate protection or that the processing is legally regulated in order to guarantee a sufficient level of protection of privacy and the fundamental rights of individuals.

Due to their presence on the Internet, our publications may be accessible outside the European Union.

9. How to exercise your rights?

In accordance with legal and regulatory provisions, you have the following rights:

• Right of access to your data (GDPR – art. 15)

You may request access to your personal data that we have collected at any time. This information includes, in particular, the categories of data processed, the purposes of processing, the origin of the data when we have not collected them directly from you, the envisaged retention period of the personal data or, when this is not possible, the criteria used to determine it and the recipients to whom we transmit your data, if applicable. A free copy of your data will be sent to you upon justified request.

• Right of rectification (GDPR – art. 16)

You may request the Company to rectify your personal data. We take all reasonable steps to keep the data we have about you up to date, and we process it regularly, accurately, completely, according to the updated information we have.

• Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) (GDPR – art. 17)

You can request the erasure of your data provided that the following conditions are met:

  • the data are no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which they were collected or processed in accordance with the information initially received;
  • you withdraw your consent, where this is the sole and unique legal basis authorizing the processing of data;
  • you object to the processing of your data and there is no legitimate reason justifying the processing, or you object to the processing of your data for prospecting purposes;
  • the data has been unlawfully processed.

If you were a minor (under 15 years old) at the time your data was collected, you benefit from an accelerated procedure to exercise your right to erasure. As such, the data controller has a maximum period of one month to respond to you.
Your request for the right to erasure may also concern the deletion of your online account.

As an exception, your request for erasure cannot be accepted when the processing is necessary:

  • in order to comply with our legal obligations regarding retention periods;
  • to the establishment, exercise or defense of legal rights.

• Right to be forgotten in our editorial content

The publisher publishes personal data on its Site and its Applications for journalistic purposes. It then fulfills its duty to inform. Since the protection of personal data must be reconciled with the exercise of freedom of expression and information, the publisher of online press services reserves the right to refuse to remove personal data concerning you, subject to justifying its decision.

• Right to object to and erasure of the personalization of our communications and our commercial relationship.

You do not want your personal data declared in your user account to be used to deduce for example your estimated gender and your estimated age in order to personalize our commercial relationship and our communications.
